Some pressure from intracranial hemorrhaging from recent falls needs to be reduced. Hoping for the best, Jimmy,
I’m not optimistic, sadly.
He has shown his strength before and I’m hoping he continues to stay strong! Great man!
I’m not especially religious, but President Carter’s last 4 decades are the very example of what I learned back in Sunday School. Humble servant to humanity.
I’ll stop here.
If the surgery is just to relieve pressure, they may just have to either put a pressure gauge in or remove a bone flap. A bone flap is more invasive as they place the the piece of skull in the patient’s abdomen to keep it in the same biological milieu. Hoping for the best.
dragonmom agreed. Jimmy Carter brings us back to when a public servant was about service. He and his wife have dedicated themselves to others. They exude kindness. I also love how calm he speaks with his southern accent.
I read a biography back in college about him. I was surprised at what an incredibly intelligent man he is.
Prayers to him and his family today. He is an inspiration for me in what he has done with his life AFTER Presidency.
Jimmy Carter is the kind of Christian I aspire to be and the kind of American of which I am proud. I am praying for him and his family.
And yes, I like his accent, too.
I think we know that history won’t judge him to be the best at being president, but in my book he is likely the best person who has ever been our President. He and Mrs. Carter have modeled their faith through their service in so many ways. Offering prayers for his comfort.
Today They are now saying they have to evacuate a clot. They didn’t say where the clot was located. Hoping for the best.

Good news! He is recovering well. If they were just evacuating a clot, depending on the location it may may have been a relatively minor procedure, albeit of course he is 95 and anything can be risky.
Ok- update- it was a subdural hematoma so they probably just drilled a burrhole and sucked out the clot.
I’m glad he’s doing well.
But, he is 95 and he has had several falls lately. He’s not going to last forever.
I’d love to see Jimmy and Roslyn beat the record of this 106 and 102 year old couple! https://www.littlethings.com/longest-married-couple-85-years/
Jimmy and Roslyn have been married for 73 years. These centenarians have been maried for 85!
I recently spent the day with S21 on a Habitat for Humanity project. It kicked my butt. President Carter has been working at the sites, raising awareness for HfH for over 40 years.
Total Respect.
Get well soon!
