OK so I’m applying to a bunch of colleges. A lot of it is to compare finances and deals and whatnot, but I do have some “dream” colleges/prestigious programs that I’m applying to, namely:

Stanford University
University of Chicago
Drexel College of Medicine (5 year MD program)
John Carroll University (JCU Honors program)
University of Glasgow
Vanderbilt University
Rice University (Rice/Baylor Medical Scholars)

So I’m wondering because some of these colleges “recommend” it, should I take some SAT subject tests?

My main credentials, as they stand right now, are as follows:

PSAT: 200
ACT: 35
SAT: 2150
Extracurriculars: Cross County, In The Know, Jazz Band, Student Council, Track and Field, Junior State of America (JSA), Ohio Model United Nations (OMUN), School Leadership Team, Student-Superintendent Advisory Committee, Chemistry Club, German Club, Theatre, Secular Student Alliance, Church Leadership Team, Rotary Club District 6690, American Legion Buckeye Boys’ State, National Honors Society, Scuba Diving
AP Classes: AP English Literature (4), AP English Language (currently enrolled), AP Biology (5), AP Chemistry (5), AP Calculus AB (currently enrolled), AP Statistics (currently enrolled), AP U.S. History (5), AP Macroeconomics (4), AP Microeconomics (4), AP Government (currently enrolled)

Most of these applications are through the Common App, and I’ve been editing essays for about a month with the help of two English teachers, my mom, my dad, and some Rotary club members. There has been some approval there, so I’m inclined to think my essays are pretty good.

Thanks so much!
