As an incoming senior in high school, I am beginning to stress about my acceptance into universities due to my SAT scores. I took the SAT in June and to be honest I did not practice at all, which explains for my score of 1580. Currently, I am studying to retake the SAT on October 3, 2015, however, I feel as if it is too late because I know for sure that one of the colleges that I want to apply to has a deadline before October 3.
A little more about me:
I will graduate with my AA in Arts and Sciences at a Community College along with my high school diploma
I take a special program called Ocean Research College Academy where the classes are mainly focused on the fundamental basics of Possession Sound
I have over 70 hours of community service from National Honor Society and several other high school clubs
I am working as a part time Classroom Assistant for a Kumon Tutoring Center
I have done two internships involving science with children
My GPA for my college work is currently 3.82 and my high school GPA is roughly 3.95
With all this experience on my shoulder, should I be stressed about my SAT scores? Should I consider taking the ACT? What do you recommend I do this summer to better my chances of going to college and potentially receiving a scholarship? :-S
