You are certainly a most competitive applicant, but – unfortunately – so, too, are about 90 percent of the approximate 33,000 candidates who will apply for Duke '19. Your essays and recommendations may likely be critical to differentiate your application from this large and highly distinguished “pack.” They should focus (IMHO) on explaining – with documentation – “why you, and not tens-of-thousadns of others.” I know this is difficult, but it really is your best remaining opportunity to differentiate yourself from so many other outstanding seniors. </p>
