Not sure what major I really want to study.

I originally wanted to study civil engineering but I am not sure if I actually want to pursue a job in the field. I love hands on activity, which is leading me into researching about professions such as plumbing. On the other hand, I love psychology/anthropology and learning about how humans work. Is there a engineering field that is really hands on? Do you think it will be possible to work as a plumbing apprentice and go to school at the same time? What job is actually hands on/social. Studying and money isn’t the problem for me, but I truly want to live a happy life.
