Not sure whether to do engineering or not

So I’ve always wanted to study engineering in college, like mechanical and aerospace. I’ve always wanted to be the person who designs systems/airplanes/anything that’s related to technology. However, I’m currently struggling in AP Calc BC as a junior, and I currently have a borderline C/C+. I find it somewhat interesting, and I do practice, it’s just I sadly cannot perform on the tests. Should I still consider engineering?

One single class by itself is not indicative, necessarily, of your suitability (or not) for a specific field. It could be the subject matter, or the way it’s taught, or the way it’s assessed…it’s hard to tell.

Are you struggling with the concepts themselves? Do you feel like you understand it but you just aren’t doing well on the tests? Have you sought out help from tutors or the teacher or others? A lot of seniors don’t even take AP Calculus BC, so it’s fairly advanced for a junior, especially if you didn’t take AB as a sophomore.
