Not taking 3 quarters of calculus

For a biology major at my school we are only required to take 2 out of 3 available quarters of calculus and a quarter of bio-stats (equivalent to one year of math for medical school math requirement).

If I take only 2 quarters of calculus (while most other pre-med students at my school take 3), will that be “frowned upon”/give me a disadvantage with med school admissions? (This is assuming I fulfill the math req with 2 quarters calc + 1 quarter stats).

Ask Med. School adcoms if this is acceptable. it may vary from school to school. D. has asked them for both Math and English and got straight answers very quickly. Here, many might have different experience and different opinions and most are on Semester system anyway, so advise might not be very relevant to your specific situaition.
