I am not taking a history class sophomore year, is it going to affect my chances of getting into a good college? Is three years of history not enough for schools like Cal or Stanford? The only history courses available to sophomores in my school are AP Euro and AP Geo. Or should I take a normal history course online? Since I don’t really enjoy history, I don’t want to take AP history classes. Please help ><

No, you’re fine if you don’t take a history class sophomore year. Don’t worry about it.
You can go on college websites and see how many years of each subject the college expects/wants to see.

Usually high schools require World History or (Euro) and USH and GOV
SOPH, JR , SENIOR.

I’d suggest taking them as it may help you with Gen Ed reqs

Everyone at my school takes gov sophomore year and usually economics senior year and nobody has trouble getting into college with only 2 years of history

In my school in Maryland, students are required to take 3 years of history: Government, AP/Honors/Merit World History, and American Studies II Honors/Merit or AP U.S or AP Euro. They do this because this satisfies the University of Maryland requirements. So it really differs from school to school, you don’t have to take one. If I had that choice, I wouldn’t take a history class Sophomore year lol.
