Not taking Stats, will it look bad

I’m going into senior year.
In junior year I took the highest math offered at my school, Calculus BC, and this year I plan on doing math course(s) at the local university (probably Linear Algebra). I thought that taking too many classes senior year could be too much, so I decided not to take AP Statistics, however, everyone else I know at my school who took BC junior year is taking AP Statistics senior year, and unfortunately I can’t switch into Stats because it’s full.
Will not taking a high school math class look bad? Like just based off my hs transcript it will look like I didn’t take any math and I’m taking the minimum number of classes (5) so will that hurt me in college apps?

Doing course like Linear Algebra will probably look better than taking Stats, since Stats isn’t in the usual progression of Mathematics.

Linear Algebra is far better than stats. You don’t have to follow the crowd here.

If you’re taking linear algebra through dual enrollment, it will show up on your high school transcript and count for high school credit as well as college credit. You’ll also have an official college transcript, and you’ll have to send it to colleges when you apply to them.

If you’re taking the class independently of any arrangement with your high school, you’ll still get an official college transcript that you’ll have to submit to colleges. Colleges will see that you took linear algebra even if it doesn’t show up on your high school transcript—it still counts as a year of math even though you won’t be taking it within your high school.
