Note to all Summer B admits:

While you may have preferred to start school in the Fall. Trust me Summer B is a great opportunity to get used to campus, living alone, just getting used to everything.

I know students that were admitted for Summer B and others for Fall. The students that started during Summer B were glad they did and the Fall admits all wished they had started in the summer.

So consider it a blessing.

Congrats to all of you and welcome to the Gator Nation.

ditto, I wish I would have.

Thanks! I was just admitted for Summer B. My initial response was a little bit of disappointment. However, I immediately realized what a good opportunity this could be.

Thanks! I was admitted to Summer B and first felt a bit disappointed as well, as if I’m “not good enough,” I guess. But, it is a great idea to get acquainted with everything. I planned on moving to Gainesville in June to get settled into my apartment and such, anyway. Thanks for the encouragement!

Words of wisdom to the new members of the Gator Nation

A couple more tidbit: as you start Summer B dont think for a second that it is like this in the Fall. Totally different use the time wisely to adjust

Also time flies jump on your studies from day one. Dont even think of procrastinating. This is not HS any longer you cannot afford to wait to do an assignment. If you do wait? You will get behind and never catch up. Everything is condensed into a 6 week period vs. 3 months.

Finally dress cool there is not a hotter place in Florida than Ganinesville in the summer. I am not KIDDING no breeze the heat and humidity are relentless.

ENJOY

I made a facebook page if anyone wants to start and meet. It’s called “UF Class of 2016”
