deferred

Accepted
Tbh I have known of my acceptance for 2 weeks already because of the QuestBridge College Match program (saving myself $72k that I donāt have?) that binds me to ND even though they only do REA (aka I am going)
I just wanted to celebrate together with you guys in this thread!
Iāve visited 4 ivy leagues and never felt so at home until I visited ND. Hope to see you all in September
Accepted im crying
Ive been crying since 6:42 this is the best day of my life
DD accepted!
Congrats to those accepted.
To those deferred, as was my now-ND-junior son: be sure, in the next several weeks (maybe after the new year), to touch base with your ND admissions counselor, indicating your continued interest in attending with a well worded email or letter. If thereās a local visit/presentation, go! Be sure to also submit any accomplishments, and your continued good grades.
Iām a current sophomore at ND (engineering/arts and letters) and my sister was just denied (35 ACT, 3.98 UW GPA, OOS Arts and letters). Iām a little sad she wonāt join me in the bend next year but sheās gonna kick butt wherever she goes . Congratulations to everyone who did get in- Iām looking forward to seeing all of you on campus soon!! Feel free to ask me any questions, Iād love to help out.
This is the part I love and the part I hate. Congratulations to those who were accepted! To those deferred, hang in there. Great advice above. To those denied, as I said to someone earlier, the fact that you were in the running means you will have lots of great choices. I know lots of kids who were not accepted and who are doing fabulous elsewhere.
just got accepted while working at the boys and girls club! so excited
To everyoneā¦those accepted, deferred, and denied. This thread is a testament to the quality of people on it. So supportive and helpful. It makes us feel good about our sonās future at ND because of the quality of people here on this thread represent the future student body. I wish you all well. If you are deferred, hold on to hope for acceptance in the spring. If denied, know that there are so many other wonderful options out there.
Please pay it forward to future applicants. Go to the pinned thread called Decisions/Results and share your stats and decision. I found this very helpful when researching schools on CC.
Go Irish!!
@WineLover Can you tel me how to get to the Decisions/Results thread? I donāt see a pinned thread.
Goodness⦠deferred⦠ok I had anticipated that. Good luck to those who got in!!!
Rejected.
I was proud of her. We had a nice, leisurely dinner with her older brother tonight with no mention of the Notre Dame decision being released tonight. Today was his college graduation day.
She had to wait an entire hour after the decision was released before she learned she was rejected. That sort of regard for others is why I think she would have fit in well at Notre Dame.
It is a fork in the road.
Havenāt posted on CC for awhile, but daughter got accepted tonight.
@Tea4Two here is the link http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/university-notre-dame/2115112-notre-dame-class-of-2023-rea-decisions-results-thread.html#latest
Deferred. 790 math, 710 English. Math 1 SAT subject test 780. Math 2 SAT subject test 800. 16 AP classes. 3.98 UW GPA.
you have the best post tonight, my D got in, but your daughter is going to be a great success. Rudyard Kipling said something about meeting success and failure as the imposters that they are. Good for your daughter and a smart mother.
Accepted. Itās been a long process, so more relieved than elated at this point. When I get home later, I will post on the results thread, as @WineLover is correct that we should help the RD and future REA applicants as much as possible.
@katrina1 Sorry to read in your post above that your daughter did not get in. So many awesome people on the Notre Dame boards, you being one of them, along with @hpcsa and @HM0527 and many many others.
Also wanted to thank 3 posters in particular who have been incredible sources of information and encouragement on the Notre Dame board in recent years: @northwesty @suzy100 and @FarmerMom The insights and knowledge that you guys have provided about college admissions and/or the Notre Dame experience have been so valuable.
