@katrina1 I am so very sorry.
Accepted to College of Science w/ Neuroscience Major!
@katrina1 So sorry to see your postā¦and the decision received. I logged on in hope of finding as much good news as possible from everyone. While I canāt possibly understand how disappointed your daughter must feel given her singular focus on ND, she sounds like an amazing person supported by a strong family and good values. Her journey will just be on a different path. All the bestā¦
@katrina1 I was also sorry to see your news. Your daughter sounds like an amazing person (with an amazing mom!) who will surely go far even without ND on her resume. All the best to you and thank you for all the support you lended on this thread.
@WineLover Told ya so! LOL. Congrats!
Accepted, and was not expecting it, so hereās some advice. Iām so sorry for those who got denied or deferred as it was not the news you were hoping for, but do not lose hope or give up. If I was able to get in with low scores (28 act) compared to the general applicant pool, especially in the REA one, anyone can! Truly work on your essays, show your love for the school and what you do/who you are, and you should have an amazing shot! Everyone will end up at the school that is meant for them, nothing is not part of Godās plan.
@GeronimoAlpaca ā very glad to hear your news.
Congrats, NW
Accepted! Cried three times tonight.
@GeronimoAlpaca You have contributed as much as you have benefited from this forum. Many congratulations on your road ahead! It has been a long road to today and I offer my heartfelt congratulations and best wishes to you.
@karymeg What do you think it was that got you in. Classes? Essays? Recommendations? Hooks?
Anyone else get the Holy Cross - ND gateway program message? Excited now that we learn more about it but did not even know this was a possibility.
@Dzzzspeeed I posted on the REA decision thread and went more into detail there! But I believe itās a combination of all those that you mentioned.
@TXDad23 Did you get the Gateway program message with a deferral or how does that work?
It was a straight up acceptance into the Gateway. Lot of tears at first - we did not even know this was a possibility. But the more we are reading and learning the more we see what a blessing this is. We are making plans to attend on of the sessions at ND-HCC in either February or March (January may be a bit too cold).
Do you mind stating your stats so we can see what it takes to get into this program?
Will want to get her permission before I throw out her stats. Weāre a military family so her packet, transcripts and class rank, etc., were a little different - still feel badly she had to leave her crew team for her Senior year. As previously stated we had not heard about this at info sessions. Seems to be a very small group - only about 75 a year get it. Not something you ask or apply for.
Thanks. Completely respect you asking her.

GOT ACCEPTED!
D was rejected. Not a huge surprise - it was a reach. She gave it her best shot and put lots of time into her application. She wonāt hear any other decisions until the spring so it will be a long wait.
@HM0527 Iāve been following your Dās journey and hope that she received good news yesterday!
