UGH waitlisted r u kidding me after REA… such a long process just for this. 34 act 3.83 uw 4.2 w
Waitlist. Kind of shocked given my son wrote his faith essay about being atheist.
DS Accepted from deferred! We are shocked.
Denied after being deferred. 4.0W 1570 SAT 8 APs all 5s from Catholic school.
Congrats to those who got in. Really pissed they strung my kid along for another 4 months. It’s just not cool.
DD was accepted after being deferred. So happy!
First rejection after being deferred REA. Too bad.
Waitling List
rejected intl - I think I was a little liberal for ND in my essays
Rejected This was THE reach school, so was not expecting otherwise…just secretly manifesting a win
On the positive side, it would’ve been a battle in our house if D25 did get in because her heart wasn’t there and she is so excited to attend her top choice. Also, it just saved us/her a significant amount of
.
Congratulations to those who have been accepted! Best school out there in my opinion. Go Irish!! Here’s to hoping (manifesting) my next child has a chance in a couple years
Waitlisted! Kind of surprised (in a good way) but I really like this school, I’m first generation so it may be impostor syndrome but nevertheless, I will take this over rejection any day
33 ACT superscore, 3.78 UW, 4.6 W, hook first-gen (three brothers dropped out of high school) and dad passed away junior year, intended major was Poli Sci
Waitlisted, International student from Ireland and i didnt input my religion on common app, Top 3%, test optional, RD applied for financial aid, a lot of internatinal awards and spike in community engagment ecs, im happy about the waitlist tbh
Son rejected after being deferred. 3.9, 33 ACT, amazing EC’s and recommendations, coming from a Jesuit school. He is disappointed but he also got into another one of his favorite schools, so he is trying his best to shake it off. I’m kind of surprised he didn’t get waitlisted or Gateway. God knows best. This wasn’t in the plan. Congrats to everyone that got in. You’ll have a great four years!
waitlisted as well. not surprised because there was also a 2x legacy from my school.
You have the best attitude, I love it.
What is your son planning to study? He sounds like he has great options.
DS accepted RD to engineering. 4.0UW, 35 ACT, all 5’s on APs, good ECs.
Thank you. He is looking to study history or psychology followed by law school. Saying all this, it’s a plan from an 18 year old. It can change! Maybe he will go to graduate school at ND! Only God knows!
Daughter accepted into Gateway. Don’t know much about it. Any feedback?
Gateway is a very established program designed to get students ND values to attend ND but do not have the capacity to accept outright. For a student who views ND as their number one absolute choice, it is a very attractive option. Almost all Gateway students end up at Notre Dame…and have been shown to be just as successful as ND admits out of high school. But you have to attend Holy Cross for a year and be ok with that. I believe that you would have complete access to ND clubs, football tickets, etc. BUT you will still be attending Holy Cross for your Freshman year. I knew students that were just not prepared to deal with that and, not surprisingly, they had other good options. Check it out!
I think they also get to take one class a semester at ND during that first year.
This sounds so irrelevant but for their social media etc… what do they put that out as their school? My daughter hung up on posting Holy Cross vs ND
