@datcatti see you then
Whoops! I remember considering this and asking my counselor, she said it was fine but que sera sera.
Murph – for penance, please show this to your HS GC. If you promise to do that, we promise not to tell Princeton on you. : )
Princeton University’s single-choice early action program is a nonbinding process. If admitted, you have until May 1 to notify us about your decision to matriculate. If you apply single-choice early action, also known as restrictive early action, on Nov. 1, you may not apply to an early program at any other private college or university. However, please note the following:
•You may apply early to any public institution or service academy, as long as the decision is nonbinding.
•You may apply early to any international institution, as long as the decision is nonbinding.
•You may apply early to any college or university with a nonbinding rolling admission process.
CommonApp needs to fix this like they already do to block multiple Early Decisions. It wouldn’t be that difficult.
I’ve seen this multiple times where students ask their guidance counselors, and the counselors agree to let the student break the EA rules, either due to a lack of understanding or trying to gain an advantage. The students believe that the counselor’s advice absolves them of responsibility. This is not the case.
DS didn’t fill out his CommonApp with his GC, but with his first time college parent (me). We depended on the app to catch that, so we claim ignorance!
I should say that I claim ignorance, if I claim my son is ignorant they might reject him!
Just talked with my consoler today, she said ND was planning to contact her tomorrow. I didn’t get to know the topic of their conversation but I assume that means the results will be out tomorrow or Thursday. Still, all are just assumptions.
@2KansasKids it’s a learning process. My son had to apply RD to his other schools because of single-choice policies.
I already prayed the rosary twice
thanks for the help everybody!
Plus it’s a good excuse to tell people if I don’t get in hahahah
Is it bad that I am sad to see people give up earlier than last night? It’s not because I’m expecting the news tonight, I just actually enjoy the conversations on this thread. Nice to know that you are the people that I could be seeing next year… Man, I just got real gushy there. Haha.
I still haven’t gotten an email with my portal info? Anyone else like me? I got the email that said that my information had been received and that the results come out mid-December.
@littlechild I would probably contact ND about that. Check your junk mail and all of that first, though. I got mine about a week or so ago. You SHOULD have it by now. If not, you need to get right on that.
What was the email called? Did it specify that the information was for the portal? I didn’t even realize such an email was sent out till I checked up here… dang…
LMAO never mind… I found it… Sorry for the trouble. Thanks @DaKine I made the account at 3 am… no wonder I didn’t remember.
@littlechild Haha. No worries. I’m glad that you found it!
@littlechild mine was titled “Mid-December: Notre Dame Decisions Released”
Tomorrow will be a week from when we got the portal info, maybe that will make it the day?
Yea, we did RD on all the others, only messed up on Stanford which was an incomplete app anyway.
