Notre Dame Restrictive Early Action 2022

I’ve never seen that number. I always thought that deferred were just placed in the RD pool and handled as RD applicants. I do know that 15% of REA were deferred, and about 60% rejected (last Year). I would be an interesting number to known.

anyone know if there is a group me for accepted students?

Accepted and got into Mendoza

Accepted for architecture!

My son had NROTC to ND last year. He applied regular decision and got in. He loves NROTC it’s an excellent program. Older son graduated from ND in May also NROTC is currently in Pensacola for flight school…good luck.

This was completely unexpected, but I was accepted!
1430 SAT, 4.0UW/ 6.5W, 1/505, 9 APs, National Hispanic Scholar, AP Scholar with Honor, Catholic (also affiliated with Society of St. Vincent de Paul), Great Essays, Well-Rounded Extracurriculars

Congrats to everyone that was accepted! Does anyone know where we can view scholarship information?

@LifewithLia I think they’re sending official letters in Jan/Feb

@lastone03 Thank you very much for telling me about this! I very much needed to hear that right now. I still plan to transfer (or go with the dual-degree program) to Notre Dame since it’s such a big deal with my family, but I am glad to hear what you had to say because it certainly makes me more excited for next year.

ACCEPTED!! Is there a groupme or a Facebook page??

To all of those that will be looking at this next year when applying to ND: Just remember to keep your head up and do your best. As you can see here, plenty of people got in that did not expect to. So don’t let doubt get in your way. For those that have above average stats and extracurriculars: Don’t be cocky, but be optimistic. There were people here that were above average that were flat out rejected. On the flip side, there were also many accepted. Expect to be surprised, and good luck! Congratulations to everyone that got in! Good luck to all that were deferred!

I was told by someone who is in touch with admissions and I was told that I could always go to Holy Cross first. Isn’t that just the gateway program? And I know that that program is highly selective, so what does this mean? I am just trying to find a way into ND still. Ugh.

Also note to nest years applicants. DONT GIVE UP, if you aren’t in the 50% still APPLY. I wasn’t and got accepted today, completely unexpected as I was expecting a flat out rejection, but hey a Christmas miracle. (32 act, 3.7 gpa 10 ap classes, really week respected private school, and lots of meaningful ecs, good essays and recs)

@golf111 I haven’t seen anything but we should start one!

Going to Holy Cross is different then The Gateway Program. You can only get into The Gateway program via Norte Dame. You can go to Holy Cross then try to transfer in your sophomore year. You would need to apply to Holy Cross.

Son was deferred. Deferral letter says to start looking for other colleges. Onto plans B, C, D…and congratulations to all who made it!

Awww I hope he gets in, I just remember you’re messages and how nice you were. I ended up getting in with my “lower” scores so it was an unexpected surprise @VegasRoller

Congrats @User1555

Thank you! @VegasRoller do you know what other schools you’re looking at

Today my D was offered ND’s College Gateway program. We are unsure if this is good or bad, so we’ll have to explore this option further. Would she feel like a second class citizen? Transfer student? Would the other Notre Dame students not consider her their equal?

@User1555 son is holding out for ND and getting ready to launch some other apps off. Not sure which though. He’ll decide over Christmas break I guess.
