I know not everyone shares their admission decision here. I just wanna know if my AO started to work on making decisions. I haven’t heard of any waitlisted applicant being admitted in my country till now…
Do you guys think I should reaffirm that notre dame is my number 1 and I would definitely go in another email to my AO? I already submitted a LOCI two weeks ago but I’m wondering if I should email them again just to increase my chances.
@wmboncourage Hi. I feel like my situation is similar to yours. Which country are you from?
Notre Dame will admit around 3,800 students from 21,000 applicants this year, to build the ND Class 2024 of 2,050 First-Year students. It is yet uncertain how long and deep Notre Dame will need to go into the waiting list. This will depend on the yield of admitted waitlisted students, which should become clearer over the coming days and weeks. Bets of luck and success to all waiting!
I’m from East Asia.
Hopefully, international students’ waitlist is still rolling.
I just got admitted off from the waitlist, so I think the waitlist for international students are also unfolding! Best of luck to everyone
Thus, I have also been constantly writing up LoCI to my regional counselor, so if there are still those who are looking up to be accepted off the waitlist, I think persistency is definitely the key. Don’t lose hope!
@sandynam Congratulations! Please make sure to get started on the I-20/F-1 student visa process as early as is possible.
@sandynam
hey!
I am an international who just got an email from an admissions officer to schedule a call.
What can I expect?
Thank you! By any chance, do you know if there will be any opportunities for me to earn money at Notre Dame as a freshmen…? It is a bit more expensive than I had expected it to be… but I don’t think I can apply for entering scholarships anymore…
@iwilltrymybest123 Wow! You should probably be expecting some good news They will also ask about what stage you are in for college applications! best of luck to you, and would love to see you at ND

@sandyman You are very welcome. Finding on-campus employment at Notre Dame as a student worker is easy, please find additional information here:
https://financialaid.nd.edu/current-students/funding/earned-assistance/student-employment/
As international student you will be eligible to work on campus, as defined by F-1 visa rules. Expect the money you will be earning to support some of your out-of-pocket spending while in the US, it won’t help you out much to pay for tuition, room & board, i.e. funds to be paid to the the university.
As mentioned earlier, please make sure to get started on your I-20/F-1 visa process, as soon as you have decided to accept the Notre Dame offer of admission (or any other US University for that matter), as it will become the critical pass for your ability to attend in the fall.
While Notre Dame started to admit students from the waiting list before May 1st and also may keep it open longer this year, there really doesn’t appear to be significant movement as one originally might have expected: there may be around 250 and 300 admissions from the waiting list this year in total. Hopefully we’ll see a few more on this thread.
I’m an international who got the call yesterday. I sent a short email to my AO last week saying that Notre Dame is my number 1. I think that email definitely helped in getting me in. Best luck to all who are still waiting!
@secondboiledegg Congratulations - well done! Please follow up on your I-20/F-1 visa process asap, to be able to arrive on campus for international welcome weekend, which will be taking place beginning of August this year.
Thank you very much!
