Notre Dame's Father Ted Hesburgh, 1917-2015

Sad day at Notre Dame. Longest serving President of ND, changed ND to co-ed, great civil rights leader (stood with MLK) championed peace and support for the poor.

“The Catholic university should be a place,” he wrote, “where all the great questions are asked, where an exciting conversation is continually in progress, where the mind constantly grows as the values and powers of intelligence and wisdom are cherished and exercised in full freedom.”

A very sad day indeed. Fr. Hesburgh was an incredible man and did truly great things for our country and for ND. He will be missed.

^^ nice video. A very forward thinking man…

A great man and a great American.
