Nov 17 Makeup SAT

What was the question asking

i think the question was asking about main idea of passage one or somethin in the lines and the choice was dangerous situations?? do you remember any of these choices you put?

what did u guys get for tone for last paragraph in the carpet story.

Just asked my dad about the Chem Phys question. It was 4 apparently :(.

The Main idea of the first passage is that they help you deal with situations in life .
the second one was that they help you do things that you usually cannot do in society

How many points are sentence completion questions?

Was the one about how she felt about her carpet in the beginning and the end: “pride and then understanding”?

yeah i put that pride and understanding

what did u get for tone of last passage it was like apalled, equivical?

Don’t remember, sorry :(

Damn I put Enthusiasm and skepticism

Revisiting the perimeter question with the 4 squares, can someone explain to me how it’s 24? Cause apparently it’s 24.

yeah it was like uninformed pride then understanding.
The chem/physics question was definitely 4.

@ Mystery There are 19 sentence completions out of 67 total questions. Since it doesnt atter the type of question in CR, they count equally to the passage based. So technically they are 28.6% of your CR grade. that percent of 800 is 230 points, based off of pure percentage.

CR curve better e nice. And can Anyone tell me about this harsher curve bc were smarter rumor please ?

@ chris, if you draw out a 4x4 square, and put a 3x3 square next to it, a 2x2 and 1x1 on top (next to each other) and add up the sides, it should come out to 24. Its really something that you have to draw out (well I did anyways). Thats not the only way to do it, but it ensures that you put them as closely together as possible.

Aren’t SAT curves predetermined?

What was the answer to why the carpet guy gave his speech to the girl?

I have a question if these two math questions were both in the same section (the experimental math):

-the three digit number that multiplies to 96
and
-the p* prime # question

I know the answers, I’m just wondering if they are in same section.

,Thanks! Hope everyone got a good score.

does anyone know the answer to the pyramid question in the math section? it gave you the surface area and something else… i got root3/2… the only one i’m not sure about!

yeah sat curve are predetermined if everyone does good- lower score bad-higher score, they have ranges made up- like 700-750 600-640 etc
