Nov 17 Makeup SAT

For the last writing section, how many sentences were ones that could be left as they were (choice A)? i got 2 i think

^ Something like that

Also do any of you guys remember getting (2x -6) choice D I think for the perpendicular equation for one of the math questions?

magneticSeesaw can u elaborate on that question?

it asked for the perpendicular equation to the line shown on the graph with the slope of -1/2x + something I don’t remember the exact numbers

does anyone have an answer/explanation for the lining up question where a certain girl had to be behind another girl and there was a total of 4 people?

it was 6 people and you just had to do the arrangements literally.

Guys the basketball wuestions was 72 if im not mistaken, idk why people are saying 56 and other number. It was the one where it said if you buy 25 basketballs or 24 basketballs at 20% discount and each is orginally 35$

For the 2008 < x < 2012 problem in the math section, I remember getting the answer 2009. Can someone tell me what was the other part of the question?

for a math question, it said that a group of fifteen number’s average mean was 15 and the median was 12. After 100 was added to the largest number, what was the new mean and median? i put that mean changed to 19 and median stayed the same as 12. Anyone else?

Justin that is correct !

nd which step latter problem r all of u talking about ? The one w two points and they were both include?

No, the one about buying 25 or 24 balls was 56, not 72. And it was 2010, not 2009. and there were two questions about finding possible equations for line l or k, I think both were negative slopes.

(Math) What did you guys put for the telephone call one?

Can you restate the question to perhaps job my memory?

It was like u have 3 calls and the graph was horizontal, then jumped above, and again, etc. the duration of the calls was like 1.5min, somethin else, and 3.7 minutes. how much was the bill i believe

Ohh that was the step ladder function one. I remember I got the right answer, you just have to remember that if there’s a hole, then you don’t count that one and you use the value for the solid dot instead.

can you elaborate? i think i put 2.1. for example like for the 1.5 minutes. at 1 minute i used that price. then i moved up to the next rung and used that price for half.

They were just looking to see that for two minutes you used the lower bar value because that dot was filled in, while the next one up was an empty circle. So the same value was used for 1.5 min and 2 min, and then a higher value for 3min. (I honestly dont remember the values- it was like .30+.30+.50 or something).

guys, the answer to the telephone (step function) question was 1.1; .3 + .5 + .3

did you guys remember getting empirical and pragmatic for two questions? Don’t remember what they were.
