November 2008 SAT Critical Reading

I’m having trouble remembering in the comics passage, the answer “used as an education resource”. can someone help me?

I could only remember the answer, not the question… I think it asked something about what passage 1 guy would say about comics, IDK, it all runs together.

“authors agree that elephants deliberately paint”…i dont remember this one. anyone know if this is definitely correct?

Did anyone have the Direct Hits book? Did you buy direct hits volume 1 or 2?

-12 = 650?

i’m just wondering if you think they’re all right or those are what you put??

Wasn’t the fourth question for the comics passage this?

What would the author of passage 2 say about the critics disapproval in lines …? answer: undeserved and _____ (cant remember)

another answer for the hiking passage:
she didn’t notice the ground until she found the object

“What would the author of passage 2 say about the critics disapproval in lines …? answer: undeserved and _____ (cant remember)”

^ I think that was the 2nd q on the comic section actually…

374: i said unorthodox but warranted…the two passages had similar opinions

then for comics it goes:

 1. p2 elaborates on p1
 2. author of p2 thinks they are undeserved
 3. author of p2 thinks they should be an accepted art (Puritans quest)
 4. author of p1 talks directly about his experiences

I don’t think they would have said it was warranted… passage #2 was all about how comics were a legitimate art form and didn’t deserve the criticism.

I think I had something about educational resources for comic q #4 still… don’t know what.

no i think the question of the comic was talking about how passage 2 author would view statement of passage 1 author saying comics have been met with disdain…he would agree…

^I agree with you.

the industry was not eager to use its new technologies. nowhere in the passage did it say anything about technologies. the industries just wanted to be able to feed the people more easily.

the question said how would the author of passage 2 respond to what the critics said in passage one? they criticized comics; thus they were undeserved. i hope i didn’t misread the question, but i’m almost positive.

^ But the industry didn’t have a NEED to create cheap/easy to make food… I think that was the trip-up answer, and the other 3 were completely irrelevant…

the line loosely said: the food industry, now aware of all the tricks, was eager to continue its trend and feed the public

ohhh yea. i remember i put undeserved.

are you sure?
