@courneyenpointe: high five hope we re both right…
@jason: I dont think there is order about that…
@DIboy2: absolute the same. and period of cos(x) is 2pi

What about the one with a circle with a circumscribed triangle. It asked to express R in terms of theta?

Edit: Also, R wasn’t the radius of the circle. It was the radius along the x-axis minus the leg of the triangle along the x axis. There were answers like sin(theta)cos(theta), etc.

So is the answer 7280 for the combination question?

Also, what would 3 wrong and 4 omit be for this test? 780, or could it possibly be 790? I know review books have listed a raw score of 42 as 790 but I am not sure when the difficulty level of this test is factored in.

No, if u graph abscosx and cosx. They are different and it changes their period. I even googles it. Therefore, the answer is not 4pm. It’s 2pi for the sat question. Here it is. [Why is the function y=abs(cosx) periodic with the period pi? - Yahoo! Answers](<a href=“Yahoo | Mail, Weather, Search, Politics, News, Finance, Sports & Videos”>Yahoo | Mail, Weather, Search, Politics, News, Finance, Sports & Videos)

u r right Diboy. It’s 2pi :(

lol i skipped a few questions that everyone on here’s talking about
i just don’t get trig. and pi.

results in 16! who’s going to stay up LOL

i never think i could do that badly in Math so yes i think im gonna stay up.

about the pi thingey, just graph it on yout calculator. I was running out of time so finally came up with a stupid answer :|

Is it in 16 days? I am probably just going to check when I wake up that morning. It’s definitely not worth staying up for.

so did everyone think the test was hard or harder compared to past tests? does this mean the curve will be lenient? :)

^
I thought it was definitely harder than the practice test I took from the official study guide.

^Same… I couldn’t even get to the last 10 questions, which was really disappointing. I was able to on the Official Study Guide.

I never took the Official CB practice test, so I don’t know if this one was harder or easier. I thought, however, that it was similar to Barron’s in terms of difficulty-anyone else thinks this?

Anyway, yes. I was feeling really good about the test for the first 15 or so questions, and then it went down hill… some questions I just totally skipped and some I think I got right. I really want to see my score!

If this test was harder (like most of you are saying), what do you think the curve will be like? Someone please make a chart/list, like:

60 to 4_ = 800
4_ = 790
and so on

thank you

Someone earlier predicted a 43-800 curve, which I feel might be the case. It’s usually 44/43, I doubt it would fluctuate that much.

what raw point would equate to a 700 (or +)?
i need a list D:

I admittedly only took two Barron’s tests, but I actually thought this one was much easier.

Assuming 43-800 curve:
43-50: 800
42: 790
41: 780
40: 770
39: 760
38: 750
37: 740
36: 730
35: 720
34: 710
33: 700
32: 690
31: 680
30: 670
29: 660
28: 650
27: 640
26: 630

etc…
If it’s a 44-800 curve, then just subtract ten points from the scaled score (i.e 41 becomes 770, not 780).

I don’t think it’s going to fluctuate much either. The lowest its ever gone is 43.
But yes this test was significantly harder than usual. Or, I wouldn’t day harder but definitely trickier. I took the Jun 2010 test and it was a breeze compared to this one. It only dtarted getting hard in the last 10 questions. The questions were really straightforward and obvious in that one. I don’t think this is very fair though. But yes, it was easier than Barrons.

haahaaaaay… i’m pretty sure I will get more than 770 :D:D
good luck everyone :-)

Yeah, I predicted my 780-790 using the 43/50 = 800 curve.

till now, it seems that I’ve answered all the questions correctly… wohooo! :D
