November 2010 SAT - Math

soo i took it today and thought it was alright. once the embargo is lifted, lets discuss the questions.

When’s the embargo lifted?

no idea. i’m waiting for someone to comment and say it has been lifted

anyone think it will be -2 = 800?

Nope. Most likely -1=780

not a chance.

i am guessing its lifted since the testers in ontario and quebec canada finished the test at 1 p.m. est

Had no idea how to do the horse problem.

what horse prob ?

i didnt understand this math problem
Question: if a and b does not equal 0 and (3a^2+2b)/(a+b) which is always going to work?
Answer:?

I tried doing this problem but none of the answers matched. maybe i read it wrong :frowning: or none of the answers were right. did anyone else get it?

A wooden horse / 1.5 revolutions

LET’S DISCUSS
I found the 20 minute math section to be kind of challenging…

Oh the horse problem. You just find the circumference. I got confused with the question about ‘a, 2a+1, …’

Odgo… it said b=0

Horse problem was expiramental

ogdochindu, I did not have that problem.

i never got a horse problem or the a and b problem. maybe experimental…
did u guys get the question w/ john and tom and the marbles and increasing by x amount?

oh. haha. good this i omitted that one

I missed 0 on the 25-minute sections, and like 4 on the 20-minute section. fff

@ webass i remember now.

i remember finding the cirfumfrence and multiply that my 3/2 or something. i got like 95 feet…not sure

It’s not experimental. Because I had this problem, but I had the writing experimental. I think the john and tom was ‘t’. Lol i plugged in random numbers to check, and it worked.
