November SAT ED

I know it says on the Columbia admissions site that the November SAT scores will most likely be received in time for early decision, but I’m worried that my scores will arrive after the committee has made a decision. My scores improved by 140 points and feel that this could have a major impact on my admissions chances. Am I worried over nothing? Will my scores reach Columbia in time, and what if they have made a decision on me already and then they receive my new scores, will they reevaluate their decision? I’m just really nervous

You’re probably worrying over nothing…

Considering the devastation that Hurricane Sandy caused in the New York City area, I wouldn’t be surprised if the admissions process were delayed by several weeks. This would most likely delay application review until the university received your Nov. 2012 SAT scores.

I actually have the same question. But I think we should be fine. Collegeboard sent my Nov scores to Columbia two days ago, so they should receive them fairly quickly. The online tracking system is still being updated (mine was updated just yesterday) so they are still reviewing applications.
