Now that Oprah is off the air, who will do the big Amanda Knox interview?

<p>The big sit down Interview with Amanda and her family seems like a standard Oprah event. I wonder who will take it over now that the show is no longer on the air. </p>

<p>I can see a one hour Oprah special in prime time. What do you think?</p>

<p>You don’t think Anderson has lost his standing by going to daytime? I have never seen his show so my opinion is based soley on the promos. I know Oprah was daytime, but she started there. Just sayin’</p>

<p>This is tangential, but I am thinking Anderson Cooper may lay low or not take a high profile interview right now, after the tragic accident of the skateboarder he was supposed to interview in an upcoming show. According to the news, the skateborder was urged to film himself doing some “crazy stuff” for the show. Unfortunately he sustained a severe head injury and is in a coma. <p>Given that Amanda Knox’s roommate was British, do you think they would select Piers Morgan to conduct the interview?</p>

<p>My first thought was Barbara Walters as well. I didn’t think of Lisa Ling but the connection with her sister’s situation would be an interesting touch. I wonder how long before this happens.</p>

<p>I would like to see Lisa Ling, that was who I thought of first, but I doubt that’s who would get it. My guess goes for Barbara Walters or nobody.</p>

<p>I hope it is Barbara Walters. She has a slow, comforting tone that could put Amanda Knox at ease and we could hear a story rather than simply ansers to questions.</p>

<p>I 2nd Anne Curry. She is very warm and welcoming IMO. The today show sent at least 2 people to Italy to cover the trial including their anchor, Matt Lauer so an ‘exclusive’ wouldn’t surprise me.</p>

<p>Speaking of Oprah though, does anyone watch her network? I wonder if now that you have to “pay” to see Oprah, if she has lost her appeal.</p>
