<p>Ok, I have not given up hope. I just need to know what I can do to improve my application even further. I submitted a paper to the Intel competition, should I send that? Should I get another recommendation, i.e. one from my mentor at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center? Should I send a letter pleaing my case? Any ideas? Any deferees from last year who can help please respond and tell what you did to get in the 2nd time around.</p>
