NPC for kid adopted by single mom

<p>I adopted my daughter as a single mom. How do I fill out the NPC? None of the options work–there is no second parent, married or unmarried?</p>

<p>I’ve been using “widowed” as my marital status but I don’t know if that’s the right way to get a good estimate of need-based aid.</p>

<p>I would use widowed. You can add explanation that there is no Non custodial parent in the picture when you actually fill out the aid forms.</p>
