Anyone know if being female in computer science counts as a “minority”? I have pretty good stats (34 ACT, 4.0 UW GPA, 9 AP classes, numerous leadership positions), but little experience in coding. I know java and can understand some python and HTML but really have no idea exactly how competitive this program is and whether or not I have a shot? Any info is greatly appreciated!

My son just received an email saying he made to semifinalist. We haven’t read the docs yet. Does that mean he made it?
