@irelandwagner If you haven’t seen it yet, there is a facebook group titled “NSLI-Y 2015 Korea Summer Finalists.” There are some people going to Jeonju on there.
Yes, try again. A member of my family tried for a single summer program last year and did not advance to semi-finalist status. This year, same person applied again for the same summer program and is going. Think about your essays, who would write the best recommendation, etc.

Hello guys!!! Sorry, I have been really busy this past couple months… So I have SOOO many pages to read through… 
But to re-introduce myself, I am a freshman Russian summer finalist! I will be going to Kirov, Russia, and if I haven’t met you already, feel free to message me!

Hm. Maybe chinese tomorrow, and in the past they’ve released arabic/turkish/korean year on the same day so maybe friday!

Hello! I posted several times a while back - I’m a senior who became a Korean Summer Finalist! I was fortunate to have received a research internship position in Busan, South Korea this summer and will be pursuing this opportunity instead. Though I’m grateful to have been chosen as a NSLI-Y Finalist, I am rejecting my scholarship. I hope this can at least bring some unexpected good news to a Korean Summer alternate! Perhaps I can still meet some of you this summer when I visit Seoul! Best of luck and congrats everybody! ^^

@hypohydrogen The position is through a National Science Foundation Grant granting international research experience. I will be doing biochemistry research focusing on Point-Of Care diagnostic devices.
I know it’s still pretty early, but has anyone recieved any additional info other than what was attached with the acceptance about their program?

@Schnuff3 congrats! I’m curious, when/what time did you hear back?? I’m up for Arabic year! Have any others years been released besides Russian?
China year just came out! Daughter was accepted to Beijing. Second year for her applying: first year applied with China summer as first choice, didn’t make semi-finals, but did do Startalk last summer. This year applied to China academic year as first choice. Will be a gap year as graduating this May. So happy! Good luck to those still waiting!
