~300 is a huge number, considering not only the size of NU but also how infamous our orgo is.

This is in a way a good news for the aspiring premeds because a huge pool like this probably means less people have been weeded out (compared to many other schools; that’s of course assuming NU student body is not particularly premed-oriented); yet the med school acceptance rate has still been around 80%+. That rate would not mean much if too many weaker applicants have dropped out and if everyone applying has 3.5+ GPA. But a huge pool like this probably contains good number of people with less than stellar GPAs.
