How many hours do colleges expect you to spend per week on an extra-curricular activity? Is there a “minimum” number?
Just think it through. Do they expect anybody in Model UN to spend as much time every week on research as a varsity swimmer spends practicing? If you win a gavel at The Hague, are you more impressive than a mediocre swimmer who shows up to practice every day?
