I’m wondering if it makes a difference if you have more than the number of required letters of reference. I have two academic letters and one from a volunteer organization. I’m confident that all of them are really great and enthusiastic. Would this make only a negligible impact on my application? (I’m applying to Harvard, and I posted more details about my application in an earlier post.)

Also, I’m wondering if it matters whether you’re in an Honours program? At my university, only about 30 students out of many hundreds get selected to do Honours in one of my majors. Would an admissions committee take that into consideration? Would they even know if I didn’t specify it in my application?

Thanks in advance!
