Number of perfect SAT scores by year since 1950's?

Does this data even exist publicly? I am surprised to not be able to find it anywhere on the net, let alone the CB website.

Most likely not. The only place it exists is probably the bowels of the CollegeBoard Headquarters in New York, New york.

CB on-line archives probably take you back about ten years, otherwise, you will find mostly anecdotal information. Before the writing test was added in 2005, about 900 a year scored 1600 going back into the 1990s. Before recentering of the SAT in 1994, 1600 was a rare score with only 7 to 10 scoring it each year. Before the mid-1970s, preparation for the test was actually discouraged with students often being told to do no more than review the brief explanatory handout that ETS prepared. I think it was not until the late 1960s that the first publicized 1600 occurred.
