Number of times one can take SAT I?

<p>Hi, I’ve taken the SAT Reasoning Test twice,</p>

<p>On the first one I got CR 630, M 800, W 700 (2130)
on the second one I got CR 710 M 760 W 730 (2200)</p>

<p>I want to take it once more to raise it to 2300+</p>

<p>Is taking the SAT more than 2 times gonna diminish my chances?
I’m applying to (Harvard EA, MIT, Caltech, Stanford, Princeton, Cornell, Duke)</p>

<p>No, but I think the only thing you could do that would really up your chances notably would be getting 750+ in CR, but that would improve your chances only minimally. Your composite of 2240 is already high enough for all of the school’s you’ve listed, but if you want to take it again it’s up to you. I just don’t think it would have that much of a greater effect unless you got a huge increase, and there really isn’t that much higher to climb for an ‘effective score’ in your case.</p>
