<p>How many times should I take the SAT I? im a junior right now. What are everyone’s opinions on how many times to take the SAT I? on practicing the 10 real SAT, I usually get in the high 1500s. If I get say a 1500 or 1510 on the test of this december, should I retake the old one in January? Im definately going to take the new one.</p>
<p>Basically, from what I hear, if you score a 1500+ you should generally take it again. If you take it twice, my guidance counselor said you look amibitious, even three times. Anything past 3 she said shouldn’t be detrimental, but you never know. If for any other purpose, take it as many times as you want if you want to get in full scholarship money range.</p>

<p>Depending on where you plan on applying, I would take the January test even with a 1500+, since many schools only look at your best score and Jan. will be the last one for which preparation materials will be applicable; after that you’re a guinea pig. For reference, I took the SAT twice and most of my friends took it three times, and I am under the impression (though without proof) that taking it too many times may reflect negatively on an applicant. However, at my school (Brown), one freshman this year took it 9 times, so you never know.</p>
