they actually have a lotttttt of cool stuff up there, it’s a D1-level athletic complex in Manhattan. After the Olympics they gave Usain Bolt a tryout with the Giants up there, and Erin Andrews from ESPN had a story done on her by GQ recently where they took pics of her up there with 12 or so guys from our football team.

um, I think it’s a bit more fricking awesome how so many top QBs/RBs come from USC… athletes practice at facilities all over the country wherever they happen to be. Not sure how this is impressive or unique, or says something about Columbia.

Why are you such a buzz kill nowadays? It used to be that all of your posts were witty, even if they were a little harsh. Now they are just you trying to rain on other people’s parades without actually adding anything to the general discourse of the forum.

You also don’t know very much about football, do you? Top QBs and RBs from USC? You mean, Matt Leinart who rode the pine while the Cards made it to the SB? Reggie Bush, the guy who’s more known for making noise with Kim K than on the football field? Carson Palmer, the dude who can’t stay healthy and only benefits from an elite receiving corps (he’s going to fail epically this year without TJ)? Or are you talking about Matt Cassell, the QB responsible for the Pats fall from grace? Quit regurgitating crap from ESPN.

Can you read? Did I say “top ***NFL ***QBs and RBs from USC”? No. USC has an outstanding track record of recruiting/producing/developing RBs – and more recently, QBs – who dominate college football. USC is “Tailback U” because of the 5 Heismans.

You know nothing about football if you think this. A back-up QB who has never started a game and manages to win 11 games is hardly to blame “for the Pats fall from grace.” Fate (i.e., Brady’s injury) is “responsible for the Pats fall from grace.”

I’ve always tried to rain on people’s parades when they post stuff about how Columbia is wonderful because one celeb shows up or gives a speech there or something. Or how Columbia’s rep is going to dramatically increase because it won one more nobel prize.

Your usage of “come from” presupposes that these USC QBs/RBs have found success after their time at USC. It contextually (and temporally) implies that they are currently top players – which they obviously are not.

Really surprising to see a Columbia grad with such poor command of the English language.
