I know people have bad days and sometimes they are going through something we do not know. But, this guy has lost it. What on earth?!
Sigh, Another racist. The Lord doesn’t allow for incidences like this to happen in my presence unfortunately. I would have loved to embarrass & blast that man. Just shameful.
We try to teach the basics - that all humans are indeed created equal as far as our humanness is concerned. Language, color, gender, country of origin, etc, don’t matter one hoot. It just doesn’t always sink in. (sigh)
Some of the problem is undoubtedly the fact that folks like this are often parents spewing their venom at home to their youngsters making them think that some are created better than others and should be treated/respected differently.
There are 3-4 other videos of him floating around in which he berates foreigners and Jewish people.

Someone recognized him from that rant and posted another rant by this guy, from a year or so earlier. This time, he deliberately collided with a man on Park Avenue, accused him of being illegal and threated to call ICE. The man he collided with is a white man from Massachusetts.
This lawyer isn’t just racist, he’s bonkers, and totally in thrall to his own illogical anger. I would make sure he doesn’t own any guns.

So another NYC attorney started a Go Fund Me page to raise $ to respond to this guy. They took the funds they raised in 12 hours and paid a band to play La Cucaracha outside of his office all yesterday afternoon. Too funny.
ETA: the band was rescheduled apparently after an activist group notified him they would be sending a crowd to respond.
After watching all the videos I agree that there are mental health issues at play here.
I don’t know about the mental illness descrption. The term is frequently applied to white men who engage in terrible behavior that most cannot fathom. What if this man is just unapologetically racist?

Not at all sure he is a “white dude with privilege” as doschicos asserts. Wonder what is really going on here? Wondering if his relatives couldn’t get in and he’s taking it out on everyone. I’m always curious about the back story.
I don’t think mentally ill. But I was thinking there are some high profile figures always looking for a new lawyer. Maybe this is his way of applying for those positions.
^Then he votes with his feet. I doubt this is his first foray next door for lunch. Not an explosive, aggressive, public tantrum, with all sorts of accusations not proven.
Racism is pervasive. I don’t think we should assume only the bold, brash, rude types have these prejudices.
@TranquilMind If you read the articles linked and others, your questions will be cleared up. This attorney is not Hispanic or an immigrant. He went to a private boys’ school, the JHU, and law school. Yes, that is privilege.
