I don’t go to parties either, and my friends and I always have fun going out to eat, concerts, comedy clubs, shows and the like. It just means I don’t like to get drunk in a dark, crowded club blasting music I can’t stand. Forgive us for not being up to your standards jdp349.

I’ve seen the facebook group too. I’m pretty sure it’s legitimate but I’m sure you’ll find out when you get there anyway. =P

my welcome week supervisor will adore this link, thanks.

since it’s ~official~ and all.

they’re SO not legit, and a few of my friends went to one of them during their welcome week, and they SUCKED. weak drinks, lame “special guests” and run-down venues.

i like to party, but i’d never party in one of those lame ass clubs.

missamericanpie, why don’t you attend one of those parties this week and tell us what it’s like? And if those are “lame ass clubs”, what are the cool ones? And are YOU hosting a party? ;)

a) i’m too preoccupied with seeing my friends, Welcome Week, and going to parties in people’s apartments and going to real bars, not clubs that let 18 year olds in for one night out of the year

b) i wouldn’t waste the money

c) no party hosting for me because i’m living in University housing, haha.

there ARE good 18+ clubs! it’s just that THESE clubs are literally thrown together just for Welcome Week and they want to maximize their profit, not the fun of the partygoers. and if i’m being honest, i’m not an “oontz oontz oontz” party kind of person. i don’t want to grind with weird guys from Cooper Union. lol.

I’m with NuclearPakistan1 and Lauren8822 on this one. I’m not the party type either, but that doesn’t mean I don’t like to have fun. There’s plenty of other things to do.
