Okay NYC CCers one more question. My elderly parents who live in CT take a bus into NYC once a month to visit a friend. After leaving her apartment they take a cab to Madison around around 49 to 51 and have a lite supper before boarding the bus. Their usual spot is no longer viable because the bathroom is downstairs and my Dad cant do stairs. anybody have a suggestion for a spot in that vicinity that does have a more accessible bathroom? I know it’s a longshot but I figured if anybody would know you guys would. I am also going to try trip advisor.

Try any hotel - nobody will stop them if they try to use the public restroom.

Have you called the restaurant to see if they have an elevator for those who need it? After my knee surgery, when I couldn’t do stairs, I discovered many many places that have “secret” elevators.

Thanks. Yes recalled…noluck. We were thinking of hotels. Mom says one " that Helmsley woman" owned is nearby.

There are hotels all over that part of the city, so they shouldn’t have a problem finding one. Department stores work well too - but they close at some point.
