NYCers

Enjoying the weather? Thunder just struck and about twelve car alarms went off at once, where I am.

I have 4 dogs. Thunder scares the ■■■■■ out of them. Literally. I don’t like thunderstorms.

I won’t be in NYC until next month, but I live in MD (only 4 hrs away). We’ve been having crazy storms lately too, and thunder literally struck a few meters away from our house. It was kind of cool to look at, but so loud and it made the house shake.

You really get a kick out of mentioning where you live don’t you.

I get a kick out of using question marks.

^^ I thought that said “I like to lick question marks.”

No, I like to lick asterisks.

Asterisks are pointy. You shouldn’t lick those.

I was just driving and could barely see the car in front of me, so yes, I’m loving this weather. As long as it’s cooler and sunnier tomorrow.

I live in jersey. Half an hour away from the city. Lightning was pretty intense today. Rain was hard as **** !

the worst part is that it’s so *ing humid, and i work around wall street where all these ***bag suits are pacing back and forth from their office jobs, making things feel cramped and hot (especialy during rush hr).

I’ve heard that there are a lot of tourists over there. One guy told me that you can’t walk without having to stop and wait for someone to finish their picture every few steps.

^ So true. I’m kinda considered a tourist though. I go to NYC atleast once a month. Every block its like “OMG Time Square, PICTURE!” Or “NAKED COWBOY!” But … I guess new yorkers get annoyed with new jerseyans up in there biz, too. :(

I hate it when people gripe about tourists, though. It’s like in D.C., having lived near it for so long, it’s always weird to see people make a big deal about the Washington Monument and whatnot. But I mean, when you think about it, the things you see every day are things some people will only see once, ever. Anyway, we’re all tourists somewhere, at some point in time, so I can forgive a little obnoxious picture-taking in my own town. :)

What I can’t forgive are the visors and “I <3 D.C.” shirts. Yuck

I’ve never seen the Naked Cowboy. :(

PlattsburghLoser: Really? We got pics of him last year, and my mom flipped out. We didn’t actually take any with him; weren’t interested in paying for it. So instead we’ve got creeper pics of him kissing old Asian ladies.

He’s usually around Time Square (where I usually am.) I used to see him all the time. lol.

And I actually own some I <3 NY shirts/sweater, haha. Chinatown, FTW. I wear them to sleep or when I’m feeling lazy. I live so close to the city but I’ve never even been to the Empire State Building, Central Park, etc.

Ugh, I have to pay for a picture? I might do what you did then and sneak in or pretend I’m friends with somebody who did pay.

One of my Asian friends would do that all of the time at amusement parks. She’d spot an Asian family or group of people way in the front of the line, and start screaming at them in Korean and pretend she was in their group so we could all cut.

Haha, that wasn’t nice.

Meh, there’s Michael Jackson midget too. He gets groovy to “Beat-it” every now and then at the Times Square subway station.

I hate NYC this time of year. I do a lot of commuting since I go to school in the city, so believe you me when I say the underground subway waiting areas get ridiculously hot in the summer. I wish it would turn cold soon :(

Ah, that’s why I’ve never see him. I avoid Times Square like the plague.

I’ve never done any of the tourist stuff either. I did do the double-decker bus once, but that’s it.
I live near-ish to the NW part of Central Park but I’ve only been in once, got lost (didn’t know it was that huge), and have never been back.

For all the price hikes they should have air conditioning down there.
