hi, I recently learned about the nypd cadets program. It sounds great but the thing is, I’m not a resident of any of the 5 boroughs (I live in long island). If I were to move to ny and get my own apartment, would I be able to qualify (assuming I meet the gpa requirement, full time student requirement, ect)? Do I have to have been a ny resident for a certain period of time?

Also, what gpa do they look for in hiring? I know 2.0 is the bare minimum, but realistically, what’s the gpa range they hire at? Any other tips and advice is greatly appreciated.
