I’ve been an active participant in breathwork and sound healing meditation for well over 10 years. I’ve had experiences where I am sure my body is a few inches off the ground (laying down on a comfy mat), colorful kaleidoscope visuals, even had a retinal tear spontaneously heal (even my ophthalmologist was left scratching his head), and more. I have often said one 2 hour session keeps me in a bliss state (as well as hyper focused) for a good month. In my younger years I tried LSD and psilocybin mushrooms but I didn’t like the after effects (groggy, fog brain) - I’ve not experienced micro dosing but wouldn’t be opposed to trying it although with breathwork and sound meditation I really would have no need.
I’ve been having conversations with friends and we have agreed to not use euphemisms for these medicines (and I include cannabis in there). We strongly feel that (like body part names, and words like suicide) we can alleviate a whole lot of stigma surrounding them.
If I were younger and studying medicine I’d be investigating these modalities.
Do you do it by yourself or with others? Where? I want to try!!
With others - in Los Angeles. With a sound alchemist named Guy Douglas - https://soundmeditationpresents.com/
Thank you! Off to research . . .
