I’m sure there were rats and mice, too. Yuck.

And Boar’s Head is more expensive than other brands!

I’m pretending I’m not a wee bit nervous about this. I buy Boars Head exclusively, and I live in VA. I’ve never bought liverwurst, and there’s more than one processing plant, so I’m hoping none of our deli meat was infected or, if it was, that we already had whatever trouble and got over it. But that whole “can linger for 10 weeks before showing” thing does have me more than a smidge nervous.

I’ve also been a loyal Boar’s Head customer, but not sure if or when I’ll purchase again. Hard to get the gross report from my mind.

Combine the images in your head with this article and avoid luncheon meat altogether.

We bought only Boar’s Head for years. I’m so disgusted by that article, on top of the original news about the listeria outbreak, that I doubt I will ever buy it again.

That disturbs me, too. I see a lot more cooking in my future and expect that H will want to buy a meat slicer.

When you can’t clean it, burn it! I mean close down.

Apparently, the process of making liverwurst (yuck) was the culprit.

And think of the poor people who had to work in that plant!

Do people really not think that other meat processing plants aren’t just as disgusting? The meat industry is overall just gross.

I am sure that is true. Ugh.
