My FIL had chronic pain is his older age. It got to the point where it was really the only thing he could think about. He resisted our attempts to get him relief including medical pot, PT, and others. Never was clear to me why he did not get a knee replacement or if that would have helped.
Now DH has some serious pain issues. I hope that the research in this article, along with PT and other interventions, will help him. It is so frustrating and painful for him, and difficult for all of us to watch him go through this.
