We bought our son a used Scion, not realizing that because it was a 2 door, it was considered a sports car. The insurance on that car alone, was $2800, and he had a perfect driving record.

A Scion tC is not actually that sporty, but probably attracts risky drivers because it looks sporty. Attracting risky drivers results in higher insurance losses.
