True…but sad that we don’t deal with these issues better.

Part of the reason Med School AO values diversity, work and life experience, and certain non-academic skills, sometimes above and beyond GPA and test scores.

Edit to say most med school AO stay in their “low” pay academic positions exactly because they have a passion to help people in more ways than one. How applicants can pique their interests should not be a secret.
