Thanks for your input Ingush! Looking forward to meeting you! xx

@hsawok If you have FB and wanna add me my email is shine-in-glamour@hot/mail.com :)

my screen looks brighter than my future right now
thank you Chachis96 for your feedback and I wish you the bestest and best of luck :)

Oh I think I already have you as a friend, Ingaa is it?? (beautiful name btw) Iām Sarah x

@christinaspirit I emailed and asked whether or not usA candidate invited were sent out and the response was Dear Abrar,

Thank you for your email. As you may already know we receive a large number of applications each year and very few applicants are selected to participate in a Candidate Weekend.* With a particularly competitive applicant pool, we regrettably cannot offer admission to all qualified applicants.* I appreciate your understanding of this, and admire your commitment to education and to NYU Abu Dhabi.

We wish you all the best in your future endeavors., I took it as a rejection. I dk what else to take it as

Guys donāt give up hope we will find out our admissions decisions soon and if then we do receive rejections donāt despair because from what Iāve seen your all very qualified applicants and will do well wherever you end up. And that is coming from the bottom of my heart

I have two questions
- Should I take the email I posted as a rejection?
- Does NYUAD deferr applicants?

What I do not understand is how can I be told that there is still one week to go.

Abrarskii, a lady officer told me similar kind of staff but I called the next day and spoke to a different person in NYUAD admission department and he said that there is still one week for us to go.

Oh. man I just had a nightmare, I woke up because I had a nightmare and decided to check CC and my mail box. When will my subconscious let go of me! :D

Abrarskii, when I asked the lady from the admission office about my art portfolio and whether it was viewed, she said that she does not know. She told me exactly the same staff as to you plus that it must have been viewed and was not good enough but hello- I won art competition in Asiaās largest Inter School Fiesta for past two years in a raw and I published a book!!! I know that my art is good enough, otherwise I would not have achieved all of that!

To be frank I told my school counselor abt this situation ans she was surprised because even though my percentage is high but not too high I would have gotten in to CW because my extracurricular activities are sky high. I hope that my art portfolio will be viewed coz of the call which I made yesterday and If not- well, itās too bad for NYUAD because they will be losing a lot!!! :D

I hope that the person with whom I spoke on the phone today was right, because it would be too cruel to say anything of this sort with such a sweet tone to anyone :D

Chachis96, hang in there! Itās their loss! :D

Abrarskii, that was exactly what I wanted to know!

LOL. I am hungry, I better go back to sleep now because eating at night is not good! :D

So Chachis96, the admission officer that you contacted said all ED2 invites are sent out
The admissions officer that Christina contacted said invitations will be sent out for another week.
And psyke said that the admissions officer that she contacted said that ED2 invites will even be sent out for the mid February CW.

SO⦠Which answer is true?? Guys, iām dying here :(

guys really stop thinking abt it leave it as itās and donāt rush things if ur fate to be accepted nothing in the world gonna stop that, likewise if u r not, u can still make plan B, youāve got the time so donāt blow it donāt be such an easy prey,
let me tell u that theyāre still working on our applications and i say that because Iāve received a message today from them answering that i can submit extra rec as my counselor didnāt type a one, so in my opinion if they still receive letters they probably didnāt finish CW invite decisions

Pls all those who have been invited, which date were u invited for

Hi everybody! Iāve been reading this thread for a long time. Iāve been invited to CW, hope to see you guys there!

@Ingush
Who told you that we have to bring some object to talk about? Nobobdy told me to bring anything, through email or otherwise. Thanks!

Endofjuly, what date were u invited for

Endofjuly, congratulations on receiving the invitation. do you mind telling me when you received the email invitation?

Hi keely when I got off the phone with an admissions representative she said that they were two batches for candidate weekend for ED2

Guys, two officers are saying slightly different things but both of the people to whom I spoke said that not all of the invitations were sent out.

There is a high possibility that NYUAD has a list of people who are still being considered for invitations-I do not know. I spoke with my school counselor about NYUAD today once again and I told her what the lady from admission department told me about my application-my school counselor was disappointed with such an answer because my art works are of high quality and she was also disappointed because the lady passed a comment about me without even reading my application and looking at my art portfolio which is applicable to best art universities of the world except that I wonāt apply to them because I want to do both art and psychology at the same time. Basically I want to double major.

I would not be expecting much from NYUAD right now but letās wait and see what happens. It would be really nice to get admitted there

Thanks! I was sent the invitation on the Tuesday, the 15th of February.

*on Tuesday

Hey guys! So I assume that the majority of the invites have already been sent out. I will call the admissions office tomorrow morning, but since Friday is considered a weekend, and according to the information Iāve gathered here that most of the invitations are sent out, I highly doubt the call will return. plus I deduce that most of the invitations have been sent out (they probably had a āLETāS INVITE ERRRYONE THIS WEEKā mood).
Nonetheless, if an answering machine gets back to me, I will incoherently sob on their phones and blabber my whole life story out just because lol.
