<p>I received my invitation to the February weekend yesterday. Very excited!</p>

<p>The deadline for materials is Jan. 29, so you probably need to be invited this week.</p>

<p>For reference, I’m an American with a 2360 and a 3.8ish GPA.</p>

<p>I just checked the posts from jan CW, and I guess that if things go the same as last time, then the last day we can expect invites is jan 28.</p>

<p>Is the invitation sent out in several days or in one day? Because there is a writing assignment for each one who attends the CW and the deadline to submit this assignment is Jan.29th. If A gets invited in Jan.25th, but B gets invited in Jan. 27th, then their time for writing this assignment would be different, which seems unfair. So
 maybe the CWs are sent out mostly in only one day?</p>

That is a good point. I did not consider the writing assignment. For those of you who have already received invites, is the deadline for the writing assignment also January 29th as well? Maybe you only need to accept the CW invite by that date, and the writing assignment is due on the CW
 I don’t know though
 Has anyone heard in regards to this?</p>

<p>I think it prob. is just due on CW, cause what would they need them early for anyway? I mean I don’t think they would actually need them by a certain date, and they wouldn’t be unfair. But that’s just my opinion though.</p>

I think I need to clarify that I have not got the cw invitation yet, haha. But my classmate has got invited and he says that he has to submit the writing assignment before the Jan.29th deadline. So I guess that the email requires every candidate to finish the assignment before Jan.29th, instead of before the cw.</p>

Maybe application is just like the relationship stuff. A boy has done so much for the girl he likes, but she just rejects him and says “SORRY WE DON’T MATCH.”

I completely understand how you feel. It’s funny that you mentioned that because I checked my email and this forum on my phone throughout the day as well
It’s so nerve wracking! :smiley: But we must not forget that there is still time to get an invite (If you look earlier in this thread someone received an invite to the Jan. CW on the same day the application was due.) And if not, there is still the March CW we can hope for. Who know, we might all meet up there together :slight_smile: </p>

<p>But I definitely do not like the short notice NYUAD seems to give, especially when an additional writing assignment is also needed. By any chance, do you know if the writing assignment is the same one about the proposed research topic?</p>
