NYU and NYU POLY?

Edwood09 I am a graduate of NYU with a bachelors in chemistry I was not affiliated with NYU poly whatsoever but I can tell you that NYU offers need based scholarships only. It goes by your family income. I am a NY state resident and my family is considered middle class income I was not given a penny in aid from NYU and I now have over 200K in student loan debt. I’m not vastly familiar with the international program I had a buddy from the United Arab Emirates who also was denied any aid due to family income. I recommend weighing your options I currently work as a senior scientist for Pfizer, however it took me 5 years of either keeping my college waiter job or my entry level scientist job with a company that paid nothing…due to NYU my credit is destroyed and I will be in debt forever…I will never take away the quality of education you will get by going to NYU it is truly a dynamic environment and the classes are extremely difficult. You do get what you pay for the education is top quality but before you sign think long and hard about the cost…looking back I’m very proud of where I graduated from, however I have some doubts and regrets about turning down a full scholarship from a university that wasn’t as “big name” as NYU…good luck I hope what I wrote was helpful
