NYU CAS 3+2 program means if you're accepted to CAS you have the option be an engineer too

This isn’t that well-known so I’ll just put this here.
If you’re a strong enough applicant to get into CAS, then you’ll probably have enough AP credits to exempt out of some of the class requirements. In addition to exemption exams, you can finish the 3+2 program in 4 years.

• B.S. in biology/B.S. in chemical and biomolecular engineering
• B.S. in chemistry/B.S. in chemical and biomolecular engineering
• B.S. in computer science/B.S. in computer engineering
• B.S. in computer science/B.S. in electrical engineering
• B.S. in mathematics/B.S. in civil engineering
• B.S. in mathematics/B.S. in computer engineering
• B.S. in mathematics/B.S. in electrical engineering
• B.S. in mathematics/B.S. in mechanical engineering
• B.S. in physics/B.S. in civil engineering
• B.S. in physics/B.S. in computer engineering
• B.S. in physics/B.S. in electrical engineering
• B.S. in physics/B.S. in mechanical engineering

This program is more helpful to the biology, chemistry and physics majors who want to enter tech/engineering industry.
That way if you’re unsure as an undergrad student in CAS, you have even more flexibility in choosing your future.
If you’re in NYU CAS taking computer science or math at Courant, then there isn’t really any benefit in taking part in this program.

Note: this is not a reciprocal agreement, this is only for CAS students who want to supplement their core degree with an poly engineering degree.
