Note: I had posted this on the 2012 forum for NYU…but I am looking for some broad opinions. This is repetitive and I apologize, but please give me a chance. Pun intended, ;D
I am currently looking for some stern, rather detailed, opinions! I would really appreciate if you would narrow my chances for NYU!

-Currently shadowing a Physician Assistant at an OGBYN office.

High School–past progress:

Test Scores: Thankfully, these do not need to be submitted because I have already met the requirements in order to be “exempt.”

I also stress that I write a blog that has been asked to be featured in Princeton and Yales’ student journal. I write for the sake of writing–because I love it. save your scissors
And how must I forget! Speaking of my blog, I was offered an internship for Teen Vogue.

Thus, I am confident my short responses for the supplement essays will be solid.
My recommendation letters will be solid.

So, friends! PLEASE chance me and be absolutely brutal! I need it!

No, No, I’m a sophomore in college. Since I have already completed two full years (or, rather, will have completed) of college, they do not require test scores to be submitted. I’m applying as a transfer student for Fall 2012.

I understand its nearly 55k a semester. I would have to take out loans…and eventually pay them off. But to me, the best way to spend your money, is on education and healthy. I also heard that they rarely give financial aid to transfer students. Does anyone know if that is true?

‘Scholarships’ are part of FA. Expect little to no scholarship unless you’re in the ‘most desirable’ category and NYU has money left over from the freshmen class.

NYU2013: When it comes down to it, the only “con” I have on my list for NYU would be the cost of attendance. I am so use to having a cheap tuition. South Texas is insanely cheap. My university is the second most afforadable college to attend in the US. First, is South Texas College…which is our other university. I believe, if I didnt have a full ride, I would pay approximately 3,000 a semester. That is a PENNY compared to NYU.
I’m also applying to ONE more school as a transfer applicant and that is Brown. So, between Brown and NYU, I really hope I get in to both. Brown was my first choice school when I was in High School. My test scores weren’t up to par back then but I have been informed that Brown has the same exemptions as NYU and do not need me to send my ACT scores. PHEW!

Trust me. With your grades at your current school (provided your classwork to this point hasn’t been a complete pushover) and decent recommendations from current faculty, this school will be more than happy to take your money from you.
